United States Government
Government touches each of our lives every day and we rarely think about it. When we do think about government, we may think about President at the White House sitting in the Oval Office contemplating national policy or we would think of the local mayor dealing with problems such as budgets or crime. Those visions give a very false image of the government as a whole. The leaders of the governments are in reality tiny pieces of much larger and more pervasive institutions.
Administrations come and go. Policies and procedures change. Nevertheless, most of the functions of government remain. The mail carrier still brings the mail.
